Saving multi-purpose data (dbStore)

You can register or save individually collected random block (raw) data, random
binary sequence data such as sequence data generated after the primary
processing of raw data, and experiment parameters.
Process for registering and saving the data is shown below.
Specify the data name |
Specify the name of data to be saved.
- The data name is one to be registered on the database and is used when the data
is returned in retrieve.
- Only alphabetic and numeric characters as well as - (hyphen) can be used for
the data name. Also, data names are case-sensitive.

Submit the
application for dbStore
data registration. |

Install the
Retrieve+dbStore. |
Please install the latest version. |

Setup the environment variables.
(set up only when they haven't been set up.) |
Usually, the environment variables are automatically setup when
installing the Retrieve+dbStore. However, there are times that the setup program
does not start properly. In such cases, please manually set up the environment
variables following the
procedure given here. |

Specify the executable file at the time of software program
start-up. |
Set up Retrieve+dbStore to start operating when PV-WAVE or IDL
is started. |
PV-WAVE
Replace
[folder where the Retrieve is installed (default C:\LABCOM\Retrieve)]
\lib\pv-wave\wavestartup
with [folder where the PV-WAVE is installed (default C:\VNI)]
\wave\bin\wavestartup. |
IDL
After starting the program, specify
[folder where the Retrieve is installed (default C:\LABCOM\Retrieve)]
\lib\idl\startup_user_idl.pro」
at the "startup file" found in [Preferences..] in the
file menu. |
