License Registration of PV-WAVE for Linux

First, the host ID should be taken to apply for a run-time license of Linux versions of PV-WAVE 7.0 and later.

Find your host ID by the following way:

  1. Install the "PV-WAVE for Linux" at first.
    The default installation directory is "/usr/local/vni" (recommended).
     
  2. At the Linux shell prompt,  run the command,

    LMHOSTID or /usr/local/vni/license/bin/lmhostid

    ***CAUTION***
    PV-WAVE 9.0
    installer program has a problem concerning with above-mentioned command.
    Please execute the below command *BEFORE* LMHOSTID or lmhostid.
        chmod 755 <maindir>/license/bin/arch
    where <maindir> means the installation root directory, "/usr/local/vni", for instance.

    Then, it will answer 6-12 hexadecimal numeric characters like belows:

    lmutil - Copyright (C) 1989-2001 Globetrotter Software, Inc.
    The FLEXlm host ID of this machine is "0002b3a6ab38"
     
  3. Please copy the host ID part "0002b3a6ab38" and paste it in the next page.
